DJ and Judi Peterson have been working with kids all their lives. They met in 1969 and helped to start the original D.A.R.E. Program at U.C.L.A. in Los Angeles California. They worked hard to help keep young people  off drugs. The Petersons have been Young Life Leaders and Sunday School Teachers. D.J. spent 34 years at the State Dept. of Education working with Governor Brown back in the 70’s and Governor Ronald Reagan. He worked with all of the State Superintendents of Public Instruction for years. He started the Distinguished Schools program throughout California. The community of El Dorado Hills hired him as the Executive Director of the El Dorado Hills Community Vision Coalition for safe, healthy and drug free youth. He wrote grants and managed programs for youth, helped fund staffing for a teen center and skate park, placed counselors in schools and more.  Now, D.J. is a popular Magician performing as “HOWDY DO DAT” entertaining at corporate events and private parties with magic and has over 25 years of experience using rings, ropes, cards, scarves, live doves, and live bunny!

Judi Peterson performing as “PonyTails” has been painting the town since she was in kindergarten. Always doing some type of art she started Judi’s Window Painting Inc. in 1984 and painted thousands of window splashes all over California for 26 years. In 2000 she discovered face painting and has now painted thousands of children and adults throughout the world. She has painted several times a year on Royal Caribbean cruise ships in Europe and the Caribbean for many years. Judi also enjoys professional balloon twisting and takes it to another level as she does with her painting.

Ella Sherman, the granddaughter of the Peterson’s, has become  an amazing balloon twister and artist. She chose her performing name of “Tiger Ella”.  At almost 19 years old, she adds joy to parties and events with 13 years as a professional Balloon Twister.
